Betrayal Just off the phone, Sanjay couldn't be happier as a little bird from the top management told him that he would be the head supervisor of the company’s new project in Dubai. He stared blankly out his cabin's glass window, not sure how to react to the news. He gazed upon the staff when his eyes caught Ranvijay talking to his beautiful new secretary. Although Ranvijay was an old friend from college and Sanjay himself who brought him to his team, however looking at him effortlessly making Nikita laugh started to get him a bit jealous. He instantly picked up his intercom and asked Nikita to send Ranvijay inside his office. Ranvijay walked inside the office without knocking. There was an air of invincibility about him which he always found intimidating. "Sir, have you lost weight?" Ranvijay asked as he collapsed on the chair. "I have, and you know you don't have to call me Sir," Sanjay lied. He loved having authority over his old fri...

Is it time to break up? We get into relationships for many reasons. Some reasons might be as casual as convenience. However, identifying that you are in a bad relationship is not easy, and as time progresses it becomes harder for one to break those bonds. So what are the silent signs that one should watch out for?

Love Always Taken for Granted

Picture courtesy Google. (Evening) Aaru was not himself all throughout the evening, and it was now clear to Shakshi that something was wrong with him. He had only curved his lips to smile once that was too a courtesy smile. When he had called to meet, Shakshi could read some unrest in his voice. He seemed like a broken man. There were constant thoughts running in his head, but couldn’t get the words to express himself. He had tried to say something, but then he would turn his head and look the other way. His eyes wanted to sweat some tears, and he felt like there were thousand pins piercing his heart.

Last Chapter: THE MAGIC OF VALENTINE’S DAY

When I woke up today, I told myself that I will be happy today. At least I will smile and make it believable. This was because I was tired of all the pity looks thrown towards me by my colleagues in office, not to mention all my friends looked at me like a small puppy that walked with a limp. It is hard enough to be ugly, but when you are ugly and single, you are everybody’s pity case. To put salt on open wounds, I was ugly/single/and with no social skills which just made me the lowest form species available. The hierarchy was, there were (1) happy people, after them came (2) good-looking people, after them were (3) the singles, below them were (4) dogs, cats, and all the animals, and finally (5) after 50 feet of dirt and shit came my existence in the world.

Short story : Death of a relationship

Image
Death Of a Relationship Death of a relationship is a short story on break up, those emotions which run through a girls head the clouded judgement and fear of losing someone, enjoy. It was another rainy day of monsoon as Anita sits in her car parked outside the coffee shop. Waiting for Karan to arrive, she sat there looking at her watch frantically knowing well enough to expect Karan to be on time, maybe, but it was just wishful thinking. Anita seems detached from the clamorous sounds of cars honking their horns and people trying to get shelter from the pouring rain. She sat there motionlessly as those tiny water droplets trying to grip onto the windshield but eventually rolling down. Her mind was as clouded as the weather outside with anxious thoughts making her mood damper than the roads that lay wet from the showering rains.

Short story : I am never wrong

I AM NEVER WRONG I am never wrong is a short story to lay emphasis on how people react on being criticised, even though the person may be wrong and he even know it but still he would try to defend his/her pride. A s I pondered on my life to make words out of my experiences, I stumbled upon a time when I unknowingly had an ill habit of criticizing others. With a good eye for observation it wasn't hard for me to target someone’s imperfections and make funny remarks about it. I was highly judgemental and even though I tried to give it a humorous spin, I was still hurting somebody’s pride as no one wants to hear the faults in oneself.

Short story : The few words of appreciation

Words have great power and I for one have always believed that words are mightier than a sword, among in those words there is a word called appreciation which can bring a smile on anyone’s face. In this cruel world, I often see people bitter and unhappy with their lives and I often wondered why it is so. There are few people I know who hate their jobs, are unhappy with their relationships, or just plain unhappy with the current circumstances. I don’t claim to have answers to all the problems but I do have this magic word appreciation which may help you in many of your endeavours.
